The initial challenge was to translate that Homeboyz vibrancy into a cool, streetwise-yet-stylish urban radio brand.
I manage the creative and commercial aspect of the broadcasting business, creating 360-degree solutions for clients in the realm of radio & web advertising, backed by on-ground experiential marketing.
I also carry out copywriting, production, voiceovers and event management.
I have incorporated social marketing into the mix, with the station's Facebook members numbering over 14,000.
Homeboyz Radio is the fastest growing "movement" in the region.

It involved growing Kenya's first ever private commercial radio station!
The brand had to connect with Nairobi's upwardly mobile sector while drawing mass appeal. As such, I had to manage Marketing, Creative, Market Research, Public Relations, Events and Promotions.
I also doubled as a weekly chart show presenter and as a commercial voiceover artist.
We were the first Kenyan radio station to have an interactive web site.
At the time of my departure, Capital FM was earning over 20% of radio advertising spends in the entire country.
