'liberate' data and information so as to better inform public discussion and enable access to timely, reliable, relevant and easy to understand information and analyses which enhance open governance,public debate and accountability.

This involves preparation of ‘Did You Know” facts on education, water, health and public finances that are to be used to improve media content in Kenya; Preparation of policy briefs to communicate lessons and highlight gaps in service delivery in education, health and spending public finances; Development of Kenyan Budget visualizations showing government spending by collecting and compiling data, also giving support to the contractor through the project development;

Build and maintained a database for reports and datasets on public finances and the social sectors in Kenya; Leading discussions with potential partners that can work with Uwazi on Kenyan issues. This includes Parliamentary Budget Office, Open Africa Institute, International Budget partnership and the National Taxpayers Association; Embarked on a process to implement a water kiosk survey to compare water prices at water kiosks in the Nairobi Metropolitan area against set official tariffs among other indicators
